One of our programs was developed to help parents by providing a quality, reliable After-School Program and Summer Camp. Due to financial constraints, some parents can’t enroll their children in After School or Summer Camp programs, leaving them home alone.
Our After-school and Summer Camp programs focus on Martial Arts, teaching both the mental and physical aspects. Many of these children are left to fend for themselves, going home to no adult supervision and being influenced by older non-family members. We want to provide these students with asafe place for them to be where they can feel good about themselves and stay out of mischief and off our streets.
By practicing Martial Arts, students will gain self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-control. Our program helps to cultivate hope for a bright future and the identity of believing in self for these children. By giving them the tools to maintain a strong, sound mind and a healthy body, we will prepare them for success in all endeavors.
Kicking 2 Achieve wants to see our students’ become leaders and not followers. We want our community to recognize and embrace us as a haven and to know that our doors are always open. With the belief that together, we can give all the children the tools to succeed.
About our program
Through approaching corporations for donations, soliciting individual donations or through grants, we plan to put as many children as possibly in a Positive environment and mold them into future leaders.
We’ve witnessed first-hand many of our youths grow into adulthood, face challenges head-on and overcome any obstacles that got in their way toward achievement. Through our program students will develop the mental and physical strength to deal with the challenges they will face throughout life.
Our after-school and summer camp programs focus on Martial Arts and also aims to develop character, leadership, and resiliency skills among students. We encourage conflict resolution, avoiding gangs, choosing drug-free lifestyles, resisting negative peer pressure, staying in school until graduation, striving for academic success, and becoming productive members of society.
